Javiera Charpentier

Associate

Bachelor of Law and Social Sciences from Universidad de Chile’s Law School (2019).

She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Economic Law at the Institute of Political Studies of Paris (Sciences Po).

Her practice focuses on corporate affairs, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions and commercial contracts.

She began her professional career as a paralegal at the corporate area of Bofill Mir Álvarez Jana Lawyers (2015-2016), then she worked as a Lawyer and coordinator of the Pro bono area at the Capital Market and Corporate area of Jara del Favero & Ried Fabres Lawyers (2018-2019). She joined Parraguez y Marín in 2020.

In academic matters, she has been a teacher assistant for the class “Seminary on non-human animals as subjects of law” (2016).

She has provided corporate and regulatory advice to investment fund managers, banks and other regulated entities, in matters related to capital markets, financings, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and all types of matters related to corporate law
She has experience in local and international financings, due diligence processes and report drafting, financing agreements, creation and regulation of investment funds in Chile.
She has represented and advised a renowned educational institution in regulatory and labor matters, representing it in various administrative proceedings.
